Ready... Fire... Aim!
Heyaa,
Another month ends, and here I'm again to put you to sleep with my jibber-jabber.
It was a mellow month at work. A slow and easy one. Summer laziness. 😴
It was a special month, though. 5 years ago, I started taking freelance projects somewhere around the last week of July.
July was also the month when I decided to take time off on the weekends and work on pet projects. The current one of which is Book Blabber - my book blog.
Set it up on the principle of Ready… Fire… Aim! Like always. Had the idea, did the setup and launched. Once I learn and get used to it, I'll aim to grow.
In this one month:
bought domain
set up hosting
created the website
turned old ebooks into articles
turned videos into articles
imported book articles from Medium
imported book articles from lazywriter.in
changed old newsletters into articles
built the newsletter landing page
set up a welcome email series
made a WhatsApp group for book nerds
joined book groups on Facebook
improved internal linking
automated sharing to newsletter and social media
Still trying to figure out a few scripts and codes.
But this August onwards now, I've to take care of the boring task: post articles regularly. :p
Apart from that,
worked with 3 clients
read one book: Founder Brand
wrote a free guide, along with other freelancers, for freelancers (Download - https://bit.ly/3zv5pah)
published an article on LinkedIn - Get past Biased Search Results, with AI
published an article on lazywriter.in - 8 Tools to Set up a Blog Website and Win the Internet
published the summary of Founder Brand (Here - https://bookblabber.co.in/startup-founder-branding)
managed to keep a 130-day Duolingo streak
Ya, that would be all. That sums up my fun July.
Hoping to publish summaries as soon as I finish reading the books. Subscribe to Book Blabber Bulletin to get them at the latest.
Also, join WhatsApp group to stay in sync with my ongoing reads and bond over memes and quotes. :p
Will see you with another newsletter soon. 🐼
