Meme the memer
My next pitch was to an adventure trip organiser, Plan The Unplanned.
Subject line:
I sent the email to Tarun. So, addressed him right in the subject line. Nothing fancy. The latter half of the subject was what I wanted to do. They had some travel memes in their Instagram profile. I wanted to join them for that. They wanted to plan the unplanned moments, I “wanna meme the unplanned moments” for them.
Intro paragraphs:
I introduced myself and told them how I found them. Yes, through a friend. I can’t go on telling I liked their website bla bla bla or whatever. So, I got straight to the point that I checked their Instagram profile and followed it by “showing” I can meme random images, unplanned.
Portfolio samples:
I tried to keep the email casual by mentioning I meme my friends’ moments. Then, I sent a bunch of memes I created about my random experiences. After all, that’s what I wanted to do while working with them.
Not sharing all those memes here, except the last one. At last, I linked to my Twitter profile, for him to explore my video memes.
Closing lines:
I closed the email asking to do a test meme, for any image he sent.
And that’s all.

This email went unanswered too.
Probably the unaesthetic memes were the deal-breaker.
But it’s fine. My next pitch brought me a client.
Will send it in another irregular newsletter, maybe next week. 🐼
