Hey, heard the latest news?
Hellooo there!
Recently, actually a few weeks ago, I received a message from this friend: "I have something to share with you and rather invite you over for something."
My ears went up like dog's, anticipating a possible collab. She's a marketer, and we worked on a project together once, she being my POC (point of contact).
She mentioned a podcast she hosts with her friend. I knew about it and even heard a few episodes. And now, I was to be a guest in it. As I qualified on their barometer of being a different one. :D
I couldn't think of any reason I was different... But that was until I went online for the recording session a week later.
OK, coming back to the podcast recording.
I couldn't think of any reason I was different. I didn't know what I'll talk about. It was just going to be a casual conversation, as she told me earlier, about life in general and me as a normal human being.
So, I went ON. Unprepared.
Thinking of answers and framing my words as the host threw questions from the other side.
I was being my conscious self. Didn't want to blabber randomly and didn't want to speak out of context.
The introverted me, with the writer in me, dominated the conversation for the most part of the recording. After the initial warm-up, though, I became a bit more frank. :P
For the first time, I talked about my physical problems in public. Virtual public. It felt like the right time and the right platform: Unbinary Life, the podcast.
Over the next half an hour or so, I talked about my childhood, my school and college life, friends, my "career" graph, and my daily and not-so-daily struggles of a physically inefficient someone.
And I didn't feel a bit stressed. I also talked about that mental endurance, about being the stoic self, in the podcast.

And that's that. Nothing more to say.
