From QWERTY To QWERY, 3 Years Have Passed.
The journey from a QWERTY keyboard to QWERY
Heyaaa!!! Hello there!
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! I heard you returned uninfected from your recent short road trip to the market. 🥳
It needs courage, and a hell lot of preparation during this pandemic. Glad you did it.
Now drumroll… Here's the latest pic of my keyboard.
Yeah, except for some worn out keys, this 4 yo chap looks sober even after 3 years of hitting.
Yes, yes, I completed 3 years as a commercial "writer". It was sometime around 20 July 2017, when I decided to try professional writing.
Picked it up as just another experiment. And 3 years down the lane, now, I would raise a toast on the occasion of this successful experiment.
And what I did in all these years?
Nothing much, I experimented. I wrote jokes, created funny GIFs, posted memes… And I tried different industry niches, writing styles and projects, just to find out what's next… what's the next adventure!
Curiosity doesn't always kill if you're cautious. 😉
So, try out different journeys and find what's the best for you. Don't follow the herd mindlessly.
Bye bye!
"What looks like talent is often careful preparation. What looks like skill is often persistent revision."
- James Clear
P.S. I found I suck at creating attractive short copies; will try micro copies now. A mini course on UX Writing piqued my curiosity. Check it out.
