π Exclusive: A deleted scene from Destination: Death
Get a never-before-seen glimpse into the terrifying world of The Orchard
Heyaa
Destination: Death went through a lot of cuts before ending as a 25-page story. It was a good 40-page story. It might well have been a satisfactory (but boring) 50-page novella.
Had to chop down several pages.
Hereβs one deleted scene that didn't make it into the final book!
An old groundskeeper, his hands gnarled from years of tending to The Orchard, corners Sumit near the dying bonfire. His cloudy eyes seem to look through Sumit as he speaks in a raspy whisper: "The boy... he's been waiting. Waiting for you!β
The old man's grip on Sumit's arm tightens. "Once he finds a way into your life, there's no turning back. No one ever leaves him.β
With that, the man melts back into the shadows, leaving Sumit alone with his growing unease.
While this scene didn't make the final cut in this story, it might well be a part of some other story. Stay tuned!
