Cranky. Stinky. Wonky!
Judging by the delay in receiving this monthly review, you can probably assume how my May went. Yes. Cranky. Stinky. Wonky!
It started off well though.
For the part-time project, I took with Flutch in April, I've been creating LI posts for the brand account and executive accounts. And then, one of the co-founders mentioned that other team members want to create regular LI posts too. So, have to do something on that front too.
Things went mostly downhill after that.
I tried scheduling tweets about marketing, freelancing etc. It's a boring task. No, not the scheduling part. These tweets show me off as some guru, and that guru-fying myself is boring. This doesn't seem to be my thing.
Also, prospects have approached me not because I talked about something, but because I lived the process. Sharing funny incidents at work and behind-the-scene images are what I'm more comfortable with.
Oh, on that note, got me an iPad. For free-hand drawing. Tried a bunch of drawings. Mostly left incomplete.
Trying my hands on doodling now.
Let's see how it turns out… 🤞🏻
Apart from those:
Got back in touch with a prospect
Mustered courage to send a PR pitch, on behalf of a client
Sent my first ever serious pitch for a guest post; didn't follow up
Tried automating with Pabbly Connect
Tried being regular with my email pitch newsletter; failed (will resume)
Maintained my Spanish learning streak with Duolingo
Had a calming day trip to a nearby wildlife reserve
OK, that looks like all.
Yep, didn't even read much. Didn't feel like reading this month.
Ahh yes. Another thing.
On the day last, one of my SaaS clients decided to not commission new articles. He said my articles lag the desired depth.
I've been feeling a rising disinterest in writing too. Maybe, I just need to try some fresh new niche. Have been in tech writing since the beginning, almost 5 years now.
So, suggest! Give me ideas. Tell me about interesting industries you came across.
I'll take your leave now. See you with another irregular newsletter soon. 🐼
