Heyaa Bee
This newsletter had a slip-up last week. I accidentally scheduled it for Monday instead of the usual Wednesday. The mouse malfunctioned and I sent without realising I had set the wrong date and time.
Itās almost time to buy a new laptop. Iām just procrastinating because I donāt feel like getting into setting my entire working system right now.
Even though all important files are backed up, you still need half a working day to get everything in place.
So, for now, Iāll prefer to suffer.
OK, itās Monday, 19.21 hours, and Iām listening toā¦
Just another of my old favourites. These days, been watching Reels on mute, so not a lot of opportunities to come across random songs.
It almost feels like living in my own delulu world. Donāt care whatās happening around. Donāt want to know whatās happening around.
Yes, I do know a war was on the way between India and Pakistan. I arenāt living under the rock. Many places (and people) were affected in the ongoing clash. But I choose not to talk about it. Not among those who like to have an opinion on everything.
Ha, if something is ādirectlyā affecting me⦠for example, if a full-fledged war goes on for weeks affecting our daily life, then I might talk.
Like the hint that Kindle devices might be available in India again. Actually, only Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) has made a comeback⦠that too, only in Black for now. Still, itās a start.
But with that, views on my Kindle alternatives article have already started falling. Didnāt know the effects wouldāve been that fast.
Will try to look into some other trending topic/keyword. News topics around books are a possibility. But it would be tiring. I donāt want another job to handle.
My existing sedentary lifestyle is bringing enough problems to take care.
At least, this week Iāve started being a bit productive again. Worked little little on different projects; none of them my own.
Also have a project to move forward after discussing with the client. But I don't feel like ātalkingā right now. So, putting off the idea to call them. It sure will be awkward if they call first.
It has happened a few times actually⦠I keep thinking about calling someone (because I have to) but they call first asking for update or whatever it was.
Only five years ago, I used to be communicative⦠not in respect to diseases, okay? I meant I had proper etiquettes like a corporate guy might have. Now, I donāt feel I have any.
Maybe itās the over-enthusiasm I had while freelancing.
I can be pretty enthusiastic over new interests. So, I guess, I learnt things (communication etiquettes, in this case) when I was new to freelancing. And then conveniently started forgetting.
One of the best things I learnt as a freelancer was giving diplomatic answers. Corporate-style excuses that wonāt offend anyone without having to downplay myself.
Sometmes, you know, you should definitely sabotage yourself. Makes you a bit light-hearted even if you arenāt one. Not to be tried in a professional setup.
If youāre a self-brag machine, you should try self-sabotageous posts sometimes. Overdoing will harm you, of course, but a pinch here and there is fine. Yeah, just like spices.
See you next week. Just hoping this newsletter is scheduled correctly. *fingers crossed*
Bidding adieu. Enjoy your day. Live long and prosper.
