Heyaa
I finally got my mobile charged to full.
Sorry for the excitement. Actually, in the last two weeks, I couldnāt get to charge my mobile to 100% even once. The max I got it to was 98%.
Either there was a power cut, a long call, or something else. Yeah, I could put it to charge later and get up to 100. But for some reason, I donāt fell like charging it if itās at 90%+ already.
Today, I got to saw the 100% battery again. And I felt so relaxed. After all, the mobile is the lifeline today. The world runs with this device in hand.
OK, itās Sunday. Dec 15. 17.50 hours. Only two (and half) more weeks to a new year. And Iām currently listening toā¦
An old favourite picked from a random YouTube suggestion this morning
This week mostly went taking care of year-end tasks. Categorising books on Goodreads, collecting my monthly reviews, sorting out book recommendations, and similar uncountable tasks (mostly random).
Yeah, I list my monthly progress⦠all the things I started or completed⦠for a year-end glimpse. Gives me new ideas sometimes from the things I forgot. Sometimes, I donāt care, at other times, I give up to pick them up again at a later time.
Oh, it reminds I need to create more content for my storeās IG profile. The last scheduled post is going up on Dec 31st I guess.
The book giveaway contest did increase my followers. So, thinking I should post on Instagram for two more months and see if anything good comes through it. The giveaway is on till 25th, so you can still participate. Just the usuals: like, comment, share. Extra efforts will be rewarded, of course.
Currently publishing all the old book reviews to my blog, 2-3 every day. The task will be complete this week hopefully. So, I need new ways to waste my time in 2025.
At least, Iām getting book review requests occasionally. Nothing substantial, though. The latest query was from an online bookstore. They wanted me to review textbooks, I donāt know why. Maybe, they were looking for some academic professional to check their books and confused me with one. Didnāt say yes.
Rejected one⦠and almost lost another lead. Karma maybe. It was for writing actually. Not book writing but content writing
I saw the message early in the morning. A US number, claiming to be from a company with a name similar to a global financial institution⦠Sounded pretty much like a scamster. I almost deleted and blocked them.
However, just in time, I saw a familiar name in the message. Realised that they came through a friendās referral from a few weeks ago.
Phewww!
Had some serious talks. Not that I sealed the deal yet.
They gave me two assignments, which I completed and submitted during the weekend. Yes, unlike the common advice that you shouldnāt do unpaid assignments, I sometimes do so. Thereās no point fighting over your adarsh and pratistha (principles and prestige) every time.
When my intuition says an assignment could land me the project, I go against the set rules. What if the intuition is wrong? Well, I repurpose and reuse the submitted assigment in some way for my portfolio.
The assignments were to create a short article and suggest better content to make a webpage better. Took me only a day to take care of it. 6 hours overall, maybe.
Will follow up in a few days and ask for update. Until then, Iāll be in my room thinking what to do with my life.
It has been tough settling down recently, you know. Like getting into my comfort zone, so that I can work with my full productive force.
By the way, I did schedule all BizBee podcast episodes that I generated so far. 24 in total. One each week. If they attract listeners on their own, will try more episodes and release season 2.
But apart from that, Iāve resigned to my flow⦠Doing (or not doing) whatever it feels like.
This morning only, I noticed that I havenāt gone through the book deal newsletters in the last 7 days. Of course, almost all deals would have been gone. So, I deleted the emails received 2+ days ago.
And among the latest newsletters, I found 22 free ebooks. Mostly fictions⦠some mystery, some steamy. In case youāre interested in those daily deals, you should join the BookBeezzz group on WhatsApp.
Trying all these things, I wonder if anything will ever go viral. Maybe something will. Maybe not.
Leaving it to the universe. See you next week.
Bidding adieu. Enjoy your day. Live long and prosper.
